Empowering change through innovation and impact, Mohamed brings over four years of experience in the development sector and civic society, specializing in project management, economic empowerment, and employability. His journey began during his university years as President of VIA Club, where he impacted over 10,000 students by bridging the gap between university students and the labour market.
Mohamed worked at Enroot Development for three years during university on projects such as job search clubs and economic empowerment initiatives. Skilled in project management and stakeholder engagement, he has collaborated with diverse NGOs and international organizations.
Currently, he serves as a Project Assistant at GIZ, focusing on Labour Market Information-Oriented Technical Education and the green transition. His work supports the Ministry of Education and Technical Education’s strategies to enhance Egypt’s technical education system.
As a Lazord Fellow, Mohamed is committed to driving socio-economic impact and empowering youth with innovative solutions.
Yousef is a change leader with over seven years of experience working at the intersection of youth engagement, economic empowerment, and inclusiveness. His social development adventure began at the age of 18 when he cofounded the VIA Club, with the goal of bridging the gap between student competencies and labour market demand supporting 4,500+ university students. He wore multiple hats, working in business development, project management, and research for a variety of INGOs and consultancies. He currently works at Ashoka as a Regional Fellowship Assistant, empowering civic organizations in the Arab region. Additionally, he is the founder of ZShapers, an initiative to empower young leaders in the civic sector. Yousef was selected in 2020 to represent Egypt in SWY under the auspices of the Japanese Cabinet Office, is a member of the World Economic Forum’s community “Global Shapers”, and is the curator of the GIZA hub for the year 22/23.
Yousef has a BSc in Business Administration from Cairo University.
Mostafa is a youth leader in the civic society field who is passionate about a project management career.
Mostafa is eager to learn more about his career, so he started working at Alashanek Ya Balady Association for Sustainable Development (AYB-SD) during Lazord Fellowship in order to practice all the project management activities. He still works and grows there.
Alongside, he is a consultant in research, data collection, data analysis, project implementation, livelihood projects, creating manuals and curricular. In addition,he works as an employability and entrepreneurship trainer as well as a career coach.
Mostafa graduated from the Faculty of Commerce English Section; Business Administration department and he is always ambitious to achieve all of his own career goals.
