Passionate advocate Abir Belmabrouk, recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship and holder of an MA in Gender Analysis in International Development from the University of East Anglia, combines academic excellence with practical impact. With a focus on gender equality, human rights, and youth empowerment, she dynamically contributes to a more just and empowered world, representing Tunisia in youth diplomacy and peacebuilding programs, showcasing a unique blend of academic prowess and real-world impact.

Hadeer Ashraf

Hadeer Ashraf is a multidisciplinary, flexible development practitioner who enjoys immersing herself in learning and working agilely and efficiently. She studied Business at Cairo University but besides that, she decided to choose and start her career in the civil society sector. She wanted to follow her passion and work in civil society, which has been one of her dreams. Following her passion, allows her to explore herself deeply.

She has a keen interest in learning new and different things about herself and stepping out of her comfort zone. This includes exploring new places, meeting new people, trying different foods, and learning languages. She is constantly on a personal and professional learning journey.

Moreover, she is deeply connected to her country, her family, herself, nature, and her experiences. Her experiences help her grow, challenge her beliefs, and expand her knowledge and awareness. She is also excited about the upcoming experiences, challenges, and learning opportunities.

Development and non-formal education are areas that particularly interests her. Additionally, she has various hobbies, such as traveling, reading, and cycling.

Mohamed Amin

Mohamed Amin

Amin is a Renewable Energy Engineer who started his journey in the development sector in 2017, focusing first on youth empowerment, then widening his perspective to focus more on sustainable development.

Amin believes in the power of building communities either through networking, fostering collaborations, capacity building, or raising awareness. This is why while working at AUC, he focused on supporting local communities and building their capacities. He also worked on promoting solutions and raising awareness during COP27 when he was responsible for the AUC pavilion in the green zone.

In addition, Amin received a certificate to be a trainer in sustainable development from the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development.

Now, he is more focused on building collaborative communities in the business and entrepreneurship sectors through his work with ElRehla (The Journey).

Rand Al Khushman

A Jordanian Women Climate Activist, representing Jordan in numerous local, regional, and international platforms and conferences. She focuses on Climate Action, which includes: Awareness, Collaboration, Capacity Building, and Education. She coordinates three projects: the first, Global Solutions, aims to connect students and facilitators from universities in the US, Iraq, and Jordan, utilizing design thinking to find optimal solutions for their community issues, with themes varying from cohort to cohort. The second project, SHE’s GREAT! 2.0, is a comprehensive, community-based, gender-responsive program for youth. It aims to identify and transform gender stereotypes, fostering inclusive communities where students are equipped with networks, STEM training, confidence, and leadership skills to engage fully in their communities and careers. The third project, in collaboration with the National Agricultural Research Center, focuses on enhancing the capacities of youth and women in adopting best practices for water harvesting and sustainable agriculture to address challenges in the upstream area of King Talal Dam. Reem Gabr

Reem is an environmental advocate with more than three years of expertise in environmental sustainability and social entrepreneurship, with a focus on green social enterprises. In addition, she is a co-founder of Recyclizer, a start-up that recycles plastic waste into a product that protects agricultural crops from harm. Reem obtained a bachelor’s degree in English from the Faculty of Arts. Along the way, Reem made the decision to focus on Environmental Communications, which is the study and application of how individuals, cultures, and organisations relate to and influence the environment. This communication entails a range of encounters, from verbal exchanges with others to media coverage of environmental issues.
