Farah Qonaish

Farah is a migration and refugee studies graduate student. During the Lazord Fellowship, she worked as project coordinator in NAYA community network, and she is currently building her career in the field of project management and proposal writing. She has been a part of projects that have different topics and different target groups. However, her interest is growing in gender-related topics, and she is passionate about understanding the psychology behind social norms, especially when it intersects with gender.

Ashraf Bin Saeed

Ashraf Bin Saeed

Ashraf is a Yemeni youth based in Jordan who holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in conflict management and resolution. He is also currently working as a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) specialist.

Since 2012, Ashraf has continuously been engaged in youth support and activities such as trainings in peacebuilding and critical thinking. He has vast experience in volunteering work and activities in Yemen and Jordan. In addition, he has participated in exchange programs in the USA and France, and in different national and international forums, which has allowed him to develop an integral skill set that he currently shares with other youth through facilitating and providing trainings to help spread his experiences with others.

As a 2020 alumnus of the Lazord Fellowship in Jordan, Ashraf currently provides technical support to the current fellows during their fellowship year. In addition to providing them with different training sessions related to their program journey, he was the main facilitator for the incoming fellows during the 2021 Lazord Annual Conference.

Areen Al-Amayrih

Areen Al-Amayrih is an activist in the field of environment. Also,she is interested in fields related to sustainable development and climate change, and local communities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental management, and a diploma degree in project management and MEAL in NGOs from the German Jordanian University. Results-driven, Expert Youth and Livelihood Programmes Officer and Specialist with five years of experience leading and implementing sustainable projects in civic engagement, and peacebuilding. Recognized for exceptional project leadership, relationship management, and strategic planning skills. She has served as MENA Youth Capacity Building member in humanitarian action Youth Advisory Group (MYAG) from January 2019 to December 2019. MYAG as extension of MENA Youth Capacity Building in Humanitarian Action (MYCHA) training program provided a select of 20 youth from across the MENA region to anchor the skills they learnt in the main training by having access to different practical learning opportunities. She considerably learned and polished knowledge and skills in managing teams, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, research, and use of social media for humanitarian action. In summary, she has shown the qualities that make him a good youth leader with aptitude for humanitarian assistance, throughout the MYAG mentoring program.

Reem Gabr

Reem is an environmental advocate with more than three years of expertise in environmental sustainability and social entrepreneurship, with a focus on green social enterprises. In addition, she is a co-founder of Recyclizer, a start-up that recycles plastic waste into a product that protects agricultural crops from harm. Reem obtained a bachelor’s degree in English from the Faculty of Arts. Along the way, Reem made the decision to focus on Environmental Communications, which is the study and application of how individuals, cultures, and organisations relate to and influence the environment. This communication entails a range of encounters, from verbal exchanges with others to media coverage of environmental issues.

Khloud Awad

Over the past years, Khloud has gained a diverse set of skills and experience in coordinating fieldwork. Her journey began with the Egyptian Family Planning Association, where she served as a junior researcher and trainer, leading teams in data collection and analysis to address issues and find potential solutions. She then interned with the UNFPA on the safe spaces project, which aimed to integrate refugee women into Egyptian society. In this role, she was responsible for field visits, training design and facilitation, and focus group evaluation. She also had the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the program, including stakeholder outreach, budgeting, and program planning. After that she worked as a Case Management Coordinator for unaccompanied and separated refugee and asylum-seeking children where she felt that she was able to fully realize her potential. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she led the development of a community-based support system and effectively managed her team as they responded to the needs of children without compromising the quality of their services. She is currently working with Care International where she is responsible for implementing the project within the field.

Mennatallah Eissa

Mennatallah is an impact-oriented professional working in Edtech and social entrepreneurship sectors with a passion to curate learnings journeys to empower and upskill young people. For the past five years, Mennatallah has worked with global organizations such as Ashoka, British Council, and Erasmus+ to design and fundraise for sustainable, applicable, and innovative programs for youth-led social enterprises across the Arab region. Besides this, Mennatallah has been consulting startups and SMEs to scale their educational technology solutions to advance the learning journeys of thousands of students in Middle East and Africa. Currently, Mennatallah is working as a Program Coordinator at McKinsey & Company.
