Hamdi Guesmi

Hamdi Guesmi, a 24-year-old from Tunisia, received a master’s degree in research in regional development economics from ESSEC Tunis, and is currently a project assistant at the organization Le Lemon Tour. His professional interests focus on international cooperation, local and regional development, and leadership. In addition he is interested in environmental issues and the sustainable development of his country, so he is currently working on a project on ecological sustainability and ecological tourism in Tunisia by the use of alternative means of transportation such as bikes. He is confident that change and development stem from investing in youth and supporting their ability to build a better society. He believes that peace between all the countries of the world is the solution to progress and helps build a better world. Therefore, he will consolidate the principles of peace and good in the community.

Chourouk Amouri

Chourouk Amouri

Chourouk Amouri obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Institute of High Commercial Studies of Carthage and is currently a student who is pursuing her master’s in entrepreneurship. Throughout her years in college, Chourouk was involved in various initiatives, both nationally and internationally, in the fields of leadership, arts, volunteering and journalism. These experiences have allowed her to see herself as well as the world around her under a different light, one where change is possible and necessary. She has also acquired different skills thanks to the projects she took part in, such as intercultural management, communication, translation, writing and entrepreneurship. Through the Lazord Fellowship, Chourouk wishes to gain the tools that will allow her to thrive in her career and to have an impact on the causes she believes in.

Ghaith Jawish

Ghaith traveled to Egypt to get a second degree and to explore different work environments. This led him to get a degree in commerce and to work in the broadcasting industry, working specifically on refugees issues in Syria and Africa. Throughout his career, he has conducted various workshops revolving around soft skills such as communication skills, leadership skills, etc. Moreover, his business writing skills and his experience in project management have proven to be useful at his job placement. In addition to that, he has immense knowledge on institutional development work. As an avid learner, he is concurrently doing an MBA in human resources while being a Lazord Fellow. Through the Lazord Fellowship, he has the opportunity to work with Drosos Foundation whose scope of work is similar to his interests in development.

Ghaith is also interested in Cairo’s architecture and history. Whenever he gets a chance, he tries to explore this multifaceted city and enjoy the savory cuisines.

Tasneem is a motivated Jordanian who studied Marine Science. Any kind of adventure attracts her, which is why she is a diver. She likes to discover all  kinds of worlds (under the sea is totally a world). Tasneem is passionate about acquiring new skills and being more engaged in civil society.

Taher Qatanani

Taher Qatanani

Taher is passionate about youth empowerment and personal development. He was a member of AIESEC in Jordan for 5 years during which he was a recruitment team member and team leader, a vice president of talent management, a member of the outgoing exchange team, and a member on other international teams. Through AIESEC, he participated in two exchange programs, one that took place in India and the other in Poland. He believes that continued learning is the key for success in life. In his free time, Taher always looks for learning opportunities to develop himself and to reflect that development on his community.

Shahd Almahameed

Shahd Almahameed

Originally from Jordan, Shahd is a dedicated learner who ranked fourth on Jordan’s high school exam before studying Applied English at the University of Jordan. During her time there, she went on an Erasmus+ exchange program at the University of Cyprus, where she was involved in theater and fiction writing. She additionally participated in a teacher’s literacy enhancement workshop at UCY Nicosia. Since then, Shahd has served as a Team Member at AIESEC before being promoted to Team Leader in the Outgoing Global Volunteer Programme. Shahd is also a Youth Ambassador of the Netherlands Education Group. She attended Introduction to Dialogue Facilitation by Sharing Perspectives Foundation. In her free time, Shahd writes short stories and poems, as well as about her personal experiences and travels on her blog. You might also find her watching videos of cats and pugs on YouTube.

Sami Kawash

Sami Kawash

Sami was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, and then moved to Jordan. During his years in college he was interested in extracurricular activities. He, thus, participated in a program called Business Ambassadors and had the chance to become more involved with his colleagues and professors and to improve his skills. He then had the chance to go to Vilnius, Lithuania, as an Erasmus exchange student. He met people from all over the world and got to know their cultures and beliefs. Now Sami is with Integrated International, which gives him the opportunity to work on various projects with different people and gain experience in different areas.

Ruba Abumraighi

Ruba is a highly skilled professional with a strong background in project management and partnership coordination. She has successfully led and supervised project activities while effectively managing partners. Ruba’s expertise extends to collaborating in the development of research studies and creating comprehensive reports that highlight project learnings and identify challenges.

Prior to her role at Plan International, Ruba served as a Project Officer and MEL focal point at War Child. In this capacity, she played a crucial role in monitoring program implementation and progress throughout the project lifecycle in Jordan. Ruba demonstrated her proficiency in developing qualitative and quantitative data collection tools, conducting data analysis, and leading report writing.

In addition to her work with NGOs, Ruba made significant contributions to global research efforts. She successfully managed the data collection and translation process for the “The silent pandemic” study in Jordan. Furthermore, Ruba’s research on the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Amman was recognized with an award for its excellence.

Rawan Ibrahim

Rawan Ibrahim

Rawan taught English language and literature for two years. She is a storyteller. She is a firm believer that everyone has the right to proper education, as well as mental health awareness.

According to the SDG goaIs, Rawan firmly believes that everyone should receive proper education which helps them move forward in life. She also believes in healthy mental stability for all adolescents. She is quite interested in working with youth, and she knows the Lazord Fellowship will be the greatest beginning step towards change in the youth community.

Obaida Mohammad

Obaida Mohammad

Obaida’s passion has always been to develop and improve the quality of education in Jordan. As a big step forward he joined the Lazord Fellowship, and is currently working as a Youth Project Officer at Madrasati Initiative. He considers that one of his most positive qualities is his ability to see his mistakes and evaluate them early. You can always see the positive energy emanating from his eyes, even under the most difficult situations. His most distinguishing quality is perhaps his love for people and their differences, this being always reflected on his performance when working on a team.
