Mohammad obtained a bachelor’s degree in 2018, and he is a writer! Trained as an engineer, but later on he chose to be an author and activist for human rights, women’s rights, and society support. He has had 4 years of volunteering with many organizations and he is really interested in human rights. Mohammad is an optimistic and detail-oriented person, adores books, and currently has a project. The project revolves around a new philosophy for the human mind based on humanism, religion, anthropology, written history, physics, politics, love, peace, social issues, and communication between genders. It is a new mental search that provides answers for human beings to find newer and better ways that might help us understand ourselves. Mohammad is very excited to share these thoughts!

Hadeel Alqatamin

Hadeel Alqatamin

Hadeel supports the WANA Institute as the Arabic media assistant and sustainable development research assistant. Hadeel is interested in increasing the amount of online scientific content in Arabic. She has written and proofread articles for various Arabic websites, such as Mawdoo3, where she worked for over a year. She holds a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Jordan, where she also worked as a teaching assistant. Hadeel seeks to expand her knowledge in terms of civil and sustainable development, in which she believes that scientific research based on evidence is a key solution.

Aya Al Khazale

Aya has a B.Sc. in civil engineering from the University of Jordan. She has always loved being a part of the volunteer community. During college, she followed her passion for volunteering by participating in student committees, the student union, and any other volunteer-related activities. Her experience at the University of Jordan allowed her to become the successful engineer that she had always hope to be. Her dream is to become a positive changemaker in her community. When she learned about the Lazord Fellowship, she found that it was the opportunity that she was seeking to help her refine her skills, pursue her ambitions, and achieve her goals.

Adeeba Badran

Adeeba Badran
Adeeba recently graduated with a degree in counseling psychology. As someone who enjoys working with people and creating safe spaces, she is deeply passionate about this field. She is a volunteer caseworker at Questscope and works with a program that focuses on child protection in Jordan. She is also a facilitator and trainer in the field of human development, having facilitated workshops on several topics including community youth empowerment, the art of dialog, and communication skills. As a Lazord Fellow, she was placed at Generations for Peace, where she is coordinating special projects related to gender mainstreaming and the role of sports in peace-building. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, experimenting with recipes, and writing in her journal.

Abdel Rahman Alzubaidi

Architect by education and agritech entrepreneur by passion, PMP Certified, holding MBA from BSN with over 8 years of experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, MSMEs coaching and Project Management. Founded Ivvest in 2020, with aim at solving the problem of food security and sustainability in MENA region by leveraging in-house developed advanced indoor farming technology. Ivvest offers an innovative, scalable solution that promotes efficient, profitable, sustainable agriculture, and provides an attractive investment opportunity for individuals while eliminating operational risks in the horticulture.

At the beginning of Waheed’s first human development work he thought that he could not do anything but over time things got easier and with every problem he faced, he ended up finding a solution. With constant training and sharing experiences with others, he became a different person in communicating with others and building relationships. The Lazord Fellowship had a great impact on his career and brought about a big change in his personality.

Raya Al-Momani

Raya Al-Momani

Raya received a B.A. in development studies from Philadelphia University, and is currently pursuing a master’s in women’s studies from the University of Jordan.

Raya started in civil society by volunteering for five years with NGOs. She now has three years of working experience with local and international NGOs such as UNICEF, NRC, BASMA, INJAZ, and Better World.

She has represented Jordan in several European countries and given training courses in different Arab countries. She loves volunteering and working with creative youth.  Raya is a leader whose skillset and interests are multifaceted: she is a trainer and facilitator: she is skilled at public communication, marketing, and project writing; and she is interested in women’s empowerment, children’s rights, and education.

In addition, Raya is an inventor, and has an idea for an invention that would help disabled people be mobile without having to use a wheelchair.

Rajaa Jumaa

Rajaa Jumaa

Rajaa is 29 years old. In 2012, she  graduated from the University of Jordan, where she studied business economics and then joined the vocational training center. She took a secretarial course and then worked for the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) through the Lazord Fellowship. After that she worked as an administrative assistant. She finished her last job five months ago, and is currently looking for a new opportunity.

Alaa Tayseer Othman

Alaa Tayseer Othman

As a Lazord Fellow, Alaa started her placement at the Families Development Association (FDA) as an administrative assistant on October 2014.  In her position, she was a very hard worker, quick-witted, responsible and reliable. This resulted in her being hired on the FDA staff.

Dina Qteishat

Dina Qteishat

Dina obtained a bachelor’s degree in International Relations in 2015, and is working on her master’s in Women Studies (gender studies). She will continue to work with Madrasati at the end of the Lazord Fellowship.

She has had 4 years of volunteering with many organizations and is really interested in women’s rights.

Dina is an optimistic and detail-oriented person, a feminist, and adores traveling.
