Biography

Zeineb Touhami is a 23-year-old passionate advocate for gender equality, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. With a background in finance, she combines her professional skills with her dedication to community service to make a difference in the world around her.

As a Lazord Fellow for 2024-2025, Zeineb has been actively involved in various leadership roles, including serving as the local president of JCI Kelibia in 2024. In this role, she led impactful community projects and helped foster leadership skills in young people. She also contributed as a member of the Enactus Club and Lions Club at IHEC Carthage, working on social entrepreneurship and humanitarian initiatives.

Zeineb’s involvement in the Tunisian Scout Association has been a big part of her journey. As a girl scout leader, she guides and mentors young girls, organizing activities that focus on community service, environmental awareness, and leadership development. Her passion for advocacy took her to New York in 2024, where she represented Tunisia as a WAGGGS Global Advocacy Champion at the 68th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

She believes in empowering young girls and creating a supportive environment for them to explore their potential. Through her work, she encourages open conversations about gender equality, quality education, and menstrual health, helping to break down social stigmas. As a member of the sustainability committee, she also works to inspire others to adopt sustainable practices that benefit both their communities and the planet.

Zeineb is driven by her commitment to uplifting others, especially young girls and women, and is dedicated to helping them find their voices, pursue their dreams, and feel empowered in their health, education, and leadership.
