Egypt - Italy and the U.S.
Reem Mikhail is originally from Mansoura, Dakahlia.
As a young enthusiastic woman, she took part in community service work through school-led initiatives.
Ms. Mikhail was selected to represent Egypt in a US State Department Exchange Program in Ohio in 2006.
Later, she joined the American University in Cairo (AUC) under the umbrella of a USAID funded scholarship called LEAD.
Post her BA in Psychology, Reem worked with Lazrod Fellowship on getting familiarized with the civil society in Egypt.
Youssef Jameel Fellowship funded her MA in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management as she was working with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) at the time.
Embarking on her journey in the development world, she is currently working with an Italian consulting company pertaining to development projects.
She is selected to attend the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship, which a Fulbright program in the US starting August 2017.
Ms. Mikhail aspires to finish her PhD before the age of 30 and continue on offering her services to the nonprofit sector in Egypt.
