Biography

Mahmoud Abdelnaeem (Naiem) is a medical doctor and a human rights and public health advocate. He is currently an intern at the International Organization for Migration (IOM Egypt), working with the Health Project as part of the Lazord Fellowship. Naiem has extensive experience in youth-led and student organizations, particularly with the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), where he was actively involved for over seven years and served as Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean (2024/2025). In addition, he has served as Regional Assistant for Human Rights and Peace, National Coordinator for the Gender-Based Violence Project, and President of the Helwan Medical Students’ Association. His work focuses on youth engagement, community-based approaches, and rights-based health initiatives, guided by his core values of justice, freedom, and respect.
