Biography

Loay is a community educator from Aswan who believes that real change starts in the small, quiet moments—when a young person feels seen, or when a girl discovers her voice for the first time. Growing up in a place where people rely on each other, he learned early on the power of showing up, listening, and creating spaces where others can grow.

His journey in development took shape through years of working with young people, families, and communities across Aswan, whether through UNICEF programs supporting girls or by coordinating inclusion projects that brought people together around learning and opportunity. Every workshop, field visit, and conversation deepened his belief that education is not just a service—it’s a doorway.

Today, Loay joins the Lazord Fellowship excited to bring his passion for education to life on the ground—learning, growing, and helping young people write new stories for themselves and their futures.
