Biography

Passionate about human rights and education, Dimitra Vrettakou is an Incoming Lazord Fellow at GIVMED, excited to contribute to projects that improve access to healthcare and create meaningful social impact.

She holds an MSc in Education and Human Rights and a BSc in Political Science and International Relations, along with certifications in Career Guidance and Adult Learning. Dimitra gained hands-on experience through internships with Erasmus+ at the Ombudsman of Cyprus and at PRAKSIS in Greece, where she continued volunteering for a year. Her work with METAdrasi and Shedia reflects a deep commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and promoting social inclusion.

Known for her curiosity, adaptability, and collaborative spirit, she brings practical skills, operational experience, and volunteer insights to every project, striving to make a lasting difference both within organizations and in society as a whole.
