Biography

Basant is a lively and hard-working medical intern. She puts her heart into what she believes in and aspires to leave her footprint through advocacy. Once she is passionate about a goal, she ensures it is accomplished in the best possible way. Even with routine tasks, she maintains a sense of commitment that drives her to keep going.

Basant has been advocating for and working on SRHR-related topics for five years. She has worked with various target groups, which has made her more empathetic and aware that the people are the priority. Over the past years, Basant has made significant strides in her advocacy career leading members from 27 Faculties of Medicine in Egypt and assessing maternal health activities in 137 different countries. Currently Basant is aspiring to improve her project management and organizational skills through the placement and the transformative journey of Lazord Fellowship.
