Biography

Anas Elmasry, 25, from Qena, Upper Egypt, is an environmental researcher, advocate, and sustainable development practitioner dedicated to transforming ideas into tangible impact. He holds a Bachelor of Science and is pursuing a Master’s in Smart Environmental Management.

Early on, he learned that small actions can ripple into meaningful change. Inspired by this, he founded Banovate, recycling agricultural waste into eco-friendly packaging; MED TEN, a Mediterranean youth network promoting environmental innovation and social entrepreneurship; and the “Star at Home Initiative” during COVID-19.

Anas has represented Mediterranean Youth Delegates at COP30 in Brazil and participated in programs across Egypt, Russia, Morocco, Albania, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE. Through his work with Creativa Innovation Hubs and Dandara Al-Ebdaa, he has led outreach programs for thousands of youth.

Now, as an Environmental Specialist at RCREEE and a Lazord Fellow, he combines environmental expertise, leadership, and project management, believing that listening, acting, and learning from communities creates sustainable, resilient solutions.
