Zeineb Touhami

Zeineb Touhami is a 23-year-old passionate advocate for gender equality, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. With a background in finance, she combines her professional skills with her dedication to community service to make a difference in the world around her.

As a Lazord Fellow for 2024-2025, Zeineb has been actively involved in various leadership roles, including serving as the local president of JCI Kelibia in 2024. In this role, she led impactful community projects and helped foster leadership skills in young people. She also contributed as a member of the Enactus Club and Lions Club at IHEC Carthage, working on social entrepreneurship and humanitarian initiatives.

Zeineb’s involvement in the Tunisian Scout Association has been a big part of her journey. As a girl scout leader, she guides and mentors young girls, organizing activities that focus on community service, environmental awareness, and leadership development. Her passion for advocacy took her to New York in 2024, where she represented Tunisia as a WAGGGS Global Advocacy Champion at the 68th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

She believes in empowering young girls and creating a supportive environment for them to explore their potential. Through her work, she encourages open conversations about gender equality, quality education, and menstrual health, helping to break down social stigmas. As a member of the sustainability committee, she also works to inspire others to adopt sustainable practices that benefit both their communities and the planet.

Zeineb is driven by her commitment to uplifting others, especially young girls and women, and is dedicated to helping them find their voices, pursue their dreams, and feel empowered in their health, education, and leadership.

Sawssen Toumi

Sawssen Toumi is a dynamic and multi-talented athlete with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tunis (2024). A certified badminton coach and referee, she is passionate about sports and physical well-being.

Sawssen is an active community leader, serving as a Scout Leader and volunteering with various organizations. Her involvement in the Lazord Fellowship has enhanced her skills in volunteering, fieldwork, and networking, allowing her to make a meaningful impact.

She is committed to continuous self-development and embraces every opportunity for personal and professional growth. Driven by a vision to inspire others, Sawssen believes that every journey is an adventure to be lived fully, embracing both the challenges and successes. She believes that maintaining a positive outlook brings positivity into her life and the lives of those around her.

Samar Jandoubi

Nedra Obba

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language, Literature and Civilization, along with a Master’s Degree in Political Science, where my dissertation focused on Political Violence against women.

Passionate about gender studies, I deeply committed to promoting gender equality and addressing the systemic challenges women face in society.

I am also passionate about reading nonfictions – because who doesn’t love a good book that makes you feel smarter than you actually are? I’m also obsessed with photography, especially when it comes to chasing sunsets and nature shots.

Lilia Khazri

Lilia Khazri is a passionate communications professional and youth advocate from Tunisia, specializing in intercultural exchange, gender equality, and global citizenship. With a background in International Relations and diplomacy, she has gained hands-on experience working with youth organizations, including Youth for Exchange and Understanding and the European Youth Centre in Budapest.

Lilia is deeply committed to promoting cultural diplomacy, diversity, and empowerment, with a focus on creating impactful platforms for youth to engage in global conversations. She has a special interest in interculturality, women’s rights, and leveraging digital tools for advocacy.

Through her work, she aims to inspire and mentor the next generation of leaders who will drive positive change across Africa and beyond. Lilia is also a digital blogger and a youth worker, facilitating international youth exchanges to foster global understanding and collaboration.

Imen Kahlaoui

Iman Kahlaoui holds a national bachelor’s degree in literature, civilization and Arabic language, and a master’s degree in Gender studies, culture and society from the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Humanities in Manouba.

She has been a political and trade union activist since 2018 and has participated in several seminars and conferences and demonstrations as a participant or a delegate at the regional, local or international level on several themes and issues such as political, gender, feminism and environmental issues.

She is currently a member of a research lab specialized in discourse analysis at the same faculty

Eya Mejri

I am a specialized educator and a consultant passionate about social inclusion, human rights, and advocacy. With a degree in Special Education, I have dedicated my career to integrating people with disabilities and dementia into society through innovative skill development approaches.
Since 2019, I have actively collaborated with national and international NGOs on projects promoting inclusion, youth empowerment, and gender equality. Notable achievements include my role as a program assistant at UNFPA, where I worked to enhance access to sexual and reproductive health services for people with disabilities.
As a trainer and consultant, I have developed and facilitated workshops, designed inclusive content, and supported impactful projects. My participation in international exchanges has broadened my perspective on global challenges in accessibility and equity.
Driven by a commitment to advocacy, I aim to create sustainable initiatives that ensure fundamental rights and opportunities for all.

Khawla Mohsni

With a commitment to fostering inclusive societies and advocating for sustainable practices, Khawla aspires to create a positive impact across communities and generations.

A dedicated public law graduate, social activist, and award-winning writer, she is pursuing a Master’s in Public Law at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in Tunis, focusing her research on “The Right to a Healthy Environment in African Countries.”

With over a decade of civil society experience, she has led transparency initiatives as a national board member of IWATCH Campus and founded the “Let’s Talk” club to promote dialogue among students. Her impactful roles include facilitating conflict resolution with Ambassadors for Dialogue, managing disaster response at the Red Crescent, and advocating for women’s rights at CALAM Association.

Internationally, she contributed to dialogue forums in Jordan and Denmark and participated in the Mediterranean Youth Academy 2023 in Barcelona. Passionate about environmental and social justice, she now collaborates with Al Sharq Youth Network on social entrepreneurship projects.

Chams Dine Bjaoui

Chams Dine Bjaoui is a legal researcher, content creator, and passionate civil society advocate. As a dynamic digital influencer and opinion maker, he engages audiences through social media and appearances on Tunisian television. Through the Munathara Initiative, he has contributed to several episodes of the televised debate program “Za3ma,” tackling critical social and political issues.

He is a facilitator in soft skills with the International Debate Association and a debate facilitator with the National Center for State Courts. Chams Dine also serves as a Youth Economic Empowerment Leader with USAID and as a Digital Peacebuilder with the Ifrikya Center for Common Ground. Additionally, he is an active member of the Regional Youth Network under the Regional Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

Blending his legal expertise, artistic creativity, and unwavering commitment to activism, Chams Dine embodies the transformative potential of Tunisian youth in driving meaningful societal change.
